United Nations chief Antonio Guterres is "disappointed" by the Security Council's failure to agree to extend a mechanism that provides life-saving aid to millions of Syrians, his spokesman said Tuesday.
"The Secretary-General calls on all council members to redouble their efforts to support the continued delivery" of the cross-border assistance to people living in rebel-held areas of Syria, Stephane Dujarric said in a statement.
