Israeli forces on Friday raided the cities of Jenin and Qalqilya in northern West Bank, killing four Palestinians and wounding 12 others in clashes.

Abdullah Abu al-Hayja, a young man, was killed by multiple gunshot wounds, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported, citing local medical sources.

Two more were later confirmed killed by Israeli forces in the Jenin city, and were identified as Ayser Al-Amer and Jawad Al-Turki.

WAFA said a large Israeli force stormed Jenin from several directions with over 40 military vehicles and two bulldozers, raiding several buildings and houses.

The raids were concentrated in the vicinity of Ibn Sina Hospital in the Zahra neighborhood of the city and on the outskirts of the Jenin refugee camp, according to WAFA.

Snipers were deployed on top of buildings, with intensive air coverage from drones.

Witnesses told Anadolu that armed clashes broke out in the city during the raid.

A Palestinian youth was also shot dead by the Israeli forces in Qalqilya city, and was identified as Qassam Abdelhafiz.

Tensions have been high across the West Bank since the break out of fighting on Oct. 7 between Palestinian groups and Israel in Gaza.

110 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli forces in the West Bank since Oct. 7 in addition to over 1,900 others injured, according to WAFA.
