At least 21 people were injured on Friday morning at Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City when an Israeli airstrike hit near the building, the Palestinian Red Crescent said on Friday.
At least "21 injuries and many bruises occurred when the internal glass of Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza shattered and part of the false ceiling fell," the Palestinian NGO said.
Most of the injured are women and children, the Palestinian Red Crescent said, adding that the attack caused "extreme fear and panic among internally displaced civilians."
Recent Israeli attacks on or near hospitals in Gaza Strip, along with critical shortages due to the Israeli siege, have forced numerous Gaza hospitals to close.
The hospitals that are still open have doctors trying to provide treatment without anesthesia or adequate supplies, while thousands try to take shelter.
This week, the Israeli army expanded its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip, which has been under relentless airstrikes since the Palestinian group Hamas launched a cross-border attack against Israel on Oct. 7.
Around 10,600 people have been killed in the conflict, including 9,061 Palestinians and more than 1,538 Israelis.
Besides the large numbers of casualties and displacements, basic supplies are running low for Gaza's 2.3 million residents due to the Israeli siege.
