According to the news in the Israeli media, the incident that unfolded during the
music festival on October 7 has raised significant concerns and sparked heated discussions. Numerous
Israeli civilians who attended this event were unfortunate targets of their own country's
helicopters en route to a
conflict-ridden region.
It appears that pilots failed to distinguish between innocent civilians and members affiliated with
Hamas, indiscriminately subjecting the area to heavy weapons fire and missile attacks.
Disturbingly,
Yedioth Ahranoth Newspaper—one of Israel's prominent media outlets—has asserted that multiple
civilian lives were tragically lost due to actions carried out by their very own army at the
music festival.
Allegations have surfaced suggesting that
Israeli helicopters callously unleashed random volleys of gunfire upon unsuspecting individuals within the
festival grounds.
Israel made many statements regarding the
October 7 attacks. However, the question of what happened in the festival area is still a matter of curiosity.
Yedioth Ahranoth from the Israeli press made a striking claim, suggesting that their helicopters deployed to neutralize
Hamas' military wing, the
Izzettin Al-Qassam Brigades, acted indiscriminately and caused most civilian casualties.
Images depicting those crucial moments were also shared alongside this report. According to the
news outlet, approximately 28 helicopters arrived in the vicinity around an hour after the
initial attack took place. It was further elucidated that
Hamas members had attempted to obstruct their entry into
Israel by infiltrating through fences surrounding the region.
Shockingly though, it was alleged that amid
heightened tension and perhaps wavering judgment in some pilots' minds; they unleashed relentless
artillery shells and
Hellfire missiles onto Israeli civilians within a wide radius using 30-millimeter weaponry – causing unimaginable devastation on an already beleaguered community caught amidst this tragic event.
It was stated that civilians and their vehicles trying to escape were also targeted, and that the distinction between
civilians and Hamas members could be made much later.
The images published by the American
Associated Press News Agency the other day also support the claim. It can be clearly seen that there is heavy damage to the vehicles. It is commented that this damage was caused by helicopter missiles and that Hamas does not have such a weapon.
An Israeli who survived the
festival attack had previously accused the Tel Aviv administration. In his statement, he said that tanks opened fire on civilians.
This evidence raises
significant concerns regarding Israel's military actions during this conflict, as it suggests a disregard for civilian lives in pursuit of targeting
Hamas fighters.
The photos depicting extensive
vehicle destruction further imply a disproportionate use of force against
non-combatants attempting to flee danger zones or seek safety amidst volatile circumstances.
