An explosion at the Yerevan State University in the Armenian capital killed one person and injured three others, the Health Ministry said on Friday.
The injured have been hospitalized and more details on their status will be provided, the ministry said in a brief statement.
Knar Misakyan, the provost of the university, told reporters it is believed that an electrical short circuit caused the blast, which, in turn, led to a fire.
The students were evacuated, and the fire has been extinguished, the official said.
