The death toll from a shooting attack in West Jerusalem carried out by two members of the Palestinian group Hamas has risen to four, with 12 others wounded, the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation said Thursday.

One of the Israelis succumbed to their injuries sustained in the attack, it said.

Earlier in the day, Israeli police said three Israelis were killed and 13 others were wounded, including three seriously, after Palestinian gunmen opened fire on people at a bus stop in West Jerusalem.

The two gunmen were shot dead by two off-duty Israeli soldiers and a civilian.

Later, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the demolition of the homes of the Palestinian attackers in West Jerusalem.

Israeli police arrested six members of the attackers' families, including their parents, after raiding their homes.

Hamas later claimed responsibility for the shooting.

The attack came shortly after Israel and Hamas agreed Thursday morning to extend a humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip for another day to continue releasing hostages.

It had been set to end Thursday morning.

Since the initial pause began last week, 66 Israeli prisoners have been released over the course of six days in exchange for 210 Palestinians.
