U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Friday departed from Israel after it renewed its bombing of the Gaza Strip.
"US Secretary of State Blinken ended his visit to Israel and left minutes after the fighting resumed in Gaza," the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation reported.
Blinken is heading for the United Arab Emirates (UAE), it added.
The U.S. is scheduled to participate in the climate summit held in the UAE.
Blinken met with Israeli leaders on Thursday. He also spoke to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
The pause between Israel and Hamas, which went into effect on Nov. 24, ended on Friday morning.
