Israel army says 'not aiming for broad escalation' in the region
"We are not aiming for a broad escalation in the region. We are operating in line with the defined objectives (of the war) and will continue to do so," military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said in a media briefing.

The Israeli military said on Friday it was "not aiming" to ramp up tensions in the region after it carried out an air strike in Beirut that killed a top Hezbollah commander.
"We are not aiming for a broad escalation in the region. We are operating in line with the defined objectives (of the war) and will continue to do so," military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said in a media briefing.
