New explosions were heard across Iran's capital Tehran on Thursday as Israeli forces announced a new wave of strikes targeting the city.
Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency reported that Israeli attacks targeted locations west of Tehran, adding that explosions were also heard in the southern and southeastern areas of the capital.
In a statement, the Israeli military said that it has begun "an additional wave of strikes in Tehran."
The attacks came as Israel and the US have continued a large-scale attack on Iran since Saturday, killing at least 926 people, including Khamenei and top military officials.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel as well as Gulf countries that are home to US military assets.
