A missile fire toward Israel on Wednesday left 14 people injured, according to Israel's emergency medical service Magen David Adom.
A 36-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy sustained moderate injuries, while 11 people were lightly wounded, the service said. All injured were receiving treatment in a hospital after being evacuated, MDA said through US social media company X.
Regional escalation has continued since Israel and the US launched an offensive against Iran on Feb. 28, killing more than 1,340 people to date, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and infrastructure damage while disrupting global markets and aviation.
Israel has also pounded Lebanon with airstrikes and launched a ground offensive in the south since a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2. Lebanese authorities said that nearly 1,250 people have since been killed in the Israeli assault.
