Israeli occupiers attacked the village of Rantis, west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, overnight Thursday, partially burning three Palestinian vehicles before residents of the village confronted them.
A group of occupiers attacked the village during the night and began writing hostile slogans on a number of properties, local sources told Anadolu.
Village residents confronted the occupiers, the sources said, adding that the attack resulted in three vehicles being partially burned before the attackers left the area.
Rantis, along with a number of other Palestinian towns and villages in the West Bank, has been subjected to a series of occupier attacks, according to the sources.
They added that an illegal Israeli settlement outpost had been established near Palestinian homes in the village several months ago, raising residents' concerns that such attacks could continue and expand in the area.
The attacks come amid an escalation in occupier violence across the West Bank, including assaults on Palestinians and their property, the burning of homes, vehicles and facilities, the bulldozing of agricultural land, and preventing farmers from accessing their land.
Since the start of its offensive on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, which has so far killed over 73,000 people and wounded more than 174,000 others, the Israeli army has also intensified its incursions in the West Bank.
