Dutch defender Rick Karsdorp was undergoing medical tests in Rome on Tuesday ahead of his announced move from Feyenoord to Roma, the Italian Serie A club said.
The 22-year-old international right-back is set to be the second signing in Roma's transfer campaign after Mexican Hector Moreno, a centre-back who signed from PSV Eindhoven.
Roma also hired their former midfielder Eusebio Di Francesco as new coach after the departure of Luciano Spalletti, now at the helm of Inter Milan.
Karsdorp's transfer fee is said to be worth 16 million euros (18.5 million dollars), while Moreno, 29, reportedly cost 5.7 million euros.
