Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi opens the scoring from the spot in a 2-0 defeat of newcomers Spal, netting his fifth goal in three Serie A games.
Icardi converted the penalty after 27 minutes and tops the scorers' chart alongside fellow-Argentine Paulo Dybala from champions Juve.
A textbook volley from Ivan Perisic sealed the hosts' win with three minutes left.
The Nerazzurri are second on goal difference behind champions Juventus, who beat Chievo 3-0 Saturday for a maximum nine-point tally. Seven other games complete the round later Sunday.
