Champions Juventus crashed 2-1 at home to Lazio Saturday after Paul Dybala missed a stoppage-time penalty.
Douglas Costa gave Juve the lead in the 23rd minute but Lazio rallied with a brace from striker Ciro Immobile to remain two points behind Serie A leaders Napoli.
Napoli have a maximum 21 points before an evening classic at Roma. Lazio are level on 19 points with Juve and Inter Milan, who meet AC Milan in a city derby late Sunday.
Costa slammed home after Thomas Strakosha saved a drive from Sami Khedira, but Immobile levelled two minutes after the break from a Luis Alberto pass and scored his 11th league goal from the spot on 54 minutes.
