Tottenham ended its Wembley hoodoo by beating Bournemouth 1-0 for its first English Premier League victory at the national stadium on Saturday.
Christian Eriksen scored just after halftime, while Harry Kane had his first game in six without a goal.
Mauricio Pochettino's side failed to win its previous three league games at its temporary home, where it's playing for the season while redevelopment work is completed at White Hart Lane. Tottenham lost to Chelsea and drew with Swansea and Burnley at Wembley.
In contrast, Spurs have won all four away league games against Huddersfield, West Ham, Everton and Newcastle.
Tottenham stayed third but closed the gap on second-place Manchester United to three points.
Bournemouth remained 19th with its sixth league defeat of the season.
Tottenham finally got off the mark at Wembley with a morale-boosting victory, and this time it was thanks to Eriksen, not Kane.
Eriksen has been by far Tottenham's best supporting act during Kane's golden streak and after scoring twice in two games for Denmark over the international break, another here means he now has four in five for club and country.
Bournemouth has managed only four goals in eight league games so far. It came close to going ahead when Toby Alderweireld almost turned the ball into his own net from Bournemouth's first-half corner but Hugo Lloris was quick to get down and claw it away to safety.
Otherwise, it looked like the same old Wembley story for Spurs, possession aplenty but tempo lacking and chances few and far between.
Two minutes into the second half, however, Tottenham struck.
Eriksen received a pass inside from Son Heung-min and, while Simon Francis slid in to block the Dane's drive forward, the ball cannoned kindly to allow the midfielder to steer into the bottom corner.
Kane might have had a hat trick before the hour mark as he saw a headed goal correctly disallowed for offside before Asmir Begovic pulled off two excellent close-range saves.
