The two sides will play their second-leg match on April 11 at Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
In the other match of the evening, Germany's Bayern Munich got the advantage against Sevilla in Spain as Bayern's Spanish midfielder Thiago's header gave the German club a comeback lead.
Despite scoring in the 31st minute to lead 1-0, Sevilla could not protect their home court as Jesus Navas' own goal canceled out Pablo Sarabia's opener.
The second leg of the Sevilla - Bayern Munich tie will be played on April 11 at Bayern's Allianz Arena.
