A decision by European football's governing body on the financial fair play situation of Istanbul's Galatasaray will "likely" be announced in June, a UEFA official said on Thursday.
"There are several UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) meetings coming up in April and May," the UEFA press officer said in an email to Anadolu Agency on Thursday.
A UEFA decision on Galatasaray is "likely to be communicated in June", he said.
On March 9, Turkey's Galatasaray club met UEFA officials in Nyon, Switzerland, to defend that its economic situation is in accordance with financial fair play rules.
Following a three-hour meeting with UEFA officials, Galatasaray President Mustafa Cengiz told reporters: "We made a 50-page presentation and UEFA asked us some questions. We have explained our realistic plan for the next three years."
"We made three different presentations and the UEFA has paid attention to these," Cengiz added.
Galatasaray already missed European competition during the 2016-17 season for violating financial fair play rules.
