Turkish wrestler Kerem Kamal on Wednesday won gold in the 60-kilogram greco-roman style in the Junior World Championship held in Trnava, Slovakia.
On the third day of the tournament, which kicked off on Monday, Kamal defeated his Indian rival Vijay Vijay 10-0 in the final match.
Kamal ended the match with two massive four-point throws, according to United World Wrestling (UWW)'s social media account.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan congratulated Kamal on his success, the presidential palace said in a written statement.
Other Turkish wrestlers Erkan Ergen and Muhittin Sarıçiçek also won gold medals in greco-roman style in the same competition.
