Struggling German Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart on Thursday confirmed the signing of young Turkish centre back Ozan Kabak from Galatasaray.
Stuttgart said that Kabak, 19, signed a contract until 2024 after passing the mandatory medical.
The reported transfer fee of 12 million euros (13.7 million dollars) makes him the most expensive signing in Stuttgart club history.
Kabak played 13 Turkish league and four Champions League matches this season for Galatasaray. He is Stuttgart's third January signing, following Alexander Esswein and Steven Zuber, who came on loan from Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim, respectively, until the end of the season.
Stuttgart are third last in the relegation play-off spot during the winter break and restart on Saturday against mid-table Mainz.
