Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa had "a dream debut" by scoring two goals in three minutes after coming on for his Beşiktaş debut in a 6-2 win over Antalyaspor in the Turkish football league on Sunday.
Kagawa came off the bench late to strike twice. He scored his first goal in the Turkish club in the 19th second after entering the game at the 81st minute and scored the second goal two minutes later from a free kick.
After the match, he told reporters: "It was a dream debut. Now, we will get ready for the next match."
Istanbul club Beşiktaş transferred Borussia Dortmund's Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa on loan on Thursday.
Beşiktaş is at third place in the Turkish league with 33 points.
The 29-year-old midfielder played five matches in Borussia Dortmund this season. Apart from the German club, Kagawa also played in English Premier League club Manchester United between 2012 and 2014.
Japan defender Yuto Nagatomo also plays in Turkish club Galatasaray.
"Two goals in three minutes are too much for a shocking debut. I saw a free kick for the first time in vertical rotation," Nagatomo congratulated Kagawa in Twitter.
"Kagawa stars with 2 goals in 3 minutes on Beşiktaş debut," AP news agency headlined.
"Kagawa scores a brace on his Beşiktaş debut," Borussia Dortmund tweeted.
