Galatasaray defeated Istikbal Mobilya Kayserispor 3-1 on Saturday evening in Turkey's Spor Toto Super League to continue chasing the title.
In the 29th match day of the league, the Istanbul giants found themselves 0-1 down after a defensive error led to an easy Kayserispor goal, scored by Artem Kravets.
With no room for any points loss, Galatasaray fought back hard to equalize the match in the 16th minute with Mbaye Diagne, who also converted a penalty kick to give his team the lead in the 40th minute.
Diagne now has 28 goals on his account in the league, being the top goal scorer.
'CimBom' increased the lead to 3-1 in the dying minutes of the first half, with Japanese full back Yuto Nagatomo scoring his first ever goal for Galatasaray with a close-range header.
Galatasaray increased its points total to 59 after the victory, continues to chase the top spot in the league.
Medipol Başakşehir, with 61 points, will play against Çaykur Rizespor at 4 p.m. (1300GMT) at home.
