Turkey has welcomed its national volleyball team on Sunday over the team's European success.
Turkey men's national volleyball team has returned home on Sunday after winning the 2019 CEV Volleyball European Golden League title in Saturday's final against Belarus.
The team captain Arslan Ekşi told press that they are "happy and proud" of winning the trophy, which is a historic triumph for Turkey.
Eksi reminded that they won all their eight games in this tournament including the group stage.
He added that they targeted the upcoming tournament, the FIVB Challenger Cup to be held in Slovenia as Turkey wants to bring this trophy to home.
Turkey won the 2019 CEV Volleyball European Golden League title on Saturday, beating Belarus 3-0 in final.
Turkey earned this victory as they led all three sets by 25-16, 25-21 and 25-19.
Both champions Turkey and runners-up Belarus bagged tickets each to qualify for the FIVB Challenger Cup to be held in July.
The FIVB Challenger Cup is an annual international tournament contested by six national teams including Turkey and will be held in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana from July 3 to 7.
In addition to Turkey and Belarus and the host nation Slovenia, Cuba from North America and African qualifier Egypt will be in this competition.
The last qualifier from Asian-South American Playoff is yet to be decided.
