The Italian Serie A team Roma announced Thursday that the club extended the contract of Turkish winger Cengiz Ünder for another four years.
''The Turkey international, 22, has put pen-to-paper on a new four-year deal with the club, that runs until 30 June 2023,'' the Italian club said in a statement.
''We are certain that over the coming years he will make a huge contribution to the quality of the team, realizing his great potential here in Rome - the perfect place for him to continue to improve,'' Roma's Sporting Director Gianluca Petrachi said.
"I arrived in Rome two years ago and since then, day after day, I've felt more in love with this city, this club and these fans," Cengiz said.
The 22-year-old winger signed a contract with Roma in the 2017 summer after he played for the Turkish Super Lig club Istanbul Başakşehir in the 2016-2017 season.
He produced 14 goals in 65 appearances during his two-season spell with the Serie A club.
Ünder scored six goals in 19 games for the Turkish national team since 2016.
