Medipol Başakşehir came back to the league with a 2-0 win against Aytemiz Alanyaspor on Saturday as the Turkish Super League returned this week.
Both teams were not able to break the deadlock in the first half at Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium in Istanbul but Başakşehir took the lead with Mahmut Tekdemir's goal in the 64th minute.
The home team doubled the lead after Edin Visca found the net in the 79th minute and the match ended 2-0.
Başakşehir remained to chase the leaders Trabzonspor in the title race, with each teams collecting 56 points in 27 matches.
