English Premier League side Manchester United confirmed Monday that Nemanja Matic will stay at the Red Devils for three more years.
"I am very happy that I will continue to be part of this great club," Matic said on the club's website.
"As a player, I still have a lot more to give and achieve in my career and to do that with Manchester United will be a huge honour," he added.
Throughout his career, Matic played for the Dutch side Vitesse, English club Chelsea, and Benfica in Portugal.
The Serbian midfielder has joined United in 2017 as he made 114 appearances for the club so far.
The 31-year-old also represented his country on 48 occasions.
"I am delighted that Nemanja has signed a new contract, I know his experience, professionalism and leadership will be invaluable to this young talented group," the club manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said in a statement.
