France's President Emmanuel Macron said on Friday he was shocked by the chaos at the Stade de France in Paris last weekend, and backed compensation for fans who had been affected.
"My thoughts go out to the families who were shoved, who were unable to reach the seats they had paid for. This is why I wish for them to be compensated as soon as possible," he said in an interview to the regional press.
