Germany's Sky Sport says one of their cameramen at Borussia Dortmund's Bundesliga game with Cologne was hit in the eye with a flare and is in hospital.
Sky commentator Wolff-Christoph Fuss, during the match won 6-1 by Dortmund, remarked that there were lots of pyrotechnics in the Cologne block late in the game and that news had reached him about the camera operator.
German football has seen an up-tick in fan violence of late, with Eintracht Frankfurt fans causing trouble before a Champions League defeat at Napoli in midweek despite being barred from buying tickets.
Around 100 Schalke fans were attacked by Dortmund and Rot-Weiss Essen ultras recently on their way to a game.
