Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka is out for the foreseeable future with a broken hand, the Bundesliga champions said on Sunday.
The 28-year-old scored the third in Saturday's 3-1 win at Mainz but scans have shown he fractured his hand in the game.
He will now face an operation and is definitely out of Tuesday's Champions League group clash at Galatasaray and probably other matches. Bayern's statement did not specify how long he would be out for.
Bayern are already stretched after injuries and right back Konrad Laimer is likely to partner Joshua Kimmich in the centre of the park in Istanbul, with Bouna Sarr possibly making a rare start on the right.
