Paraguayan midfielder Miguel Almiron, who was subbed in early, drew first blood in the 28th minute at the Old Trafford.
Young English defender Lewis Hall made it 2-0 eight minutes later, while midfielder Joe Willock scored in the 60th minute, ending the game 3-0.
In the quarterfinal round, Newcastle United will take on Chelsea on Nov. 19.
