Galatasaray suffered their first loss of the 2023-24 Turkish Super Lig season at the hands of Atakas Hatayspor on Saturday.
Hatayspor broke the deadlock when Rigoberto Rivas made a close-range finish in the 14th minute and Galatasaray leveled the game with Wilfried Zaha as he sent a right-footed shot in the 28th minute at Mersin Stadium.
Didier Lamkel Ze scored the winner in the 55th minute while Fisayo Dele-Bashiru assisted him in the home win.
Galatasaray's 17-match unbeaten streak ended with Saturday's loss. Last time, it was Besiktas who had defeated Galatasaray 3-1 on matchday 32 of the 2022-23 season.
Galatasaray are top of the table with 31 points and Hatayspor are ninth with 17 points in 12 games. Second-place Fenerbahce collected 30 points with a game in hand.
