Turkey's Diyanet Foundation (TDV) delivered food packages to 350 underprivileged families in Pakistan's commercial capital Karachi, the group announced Monday.
The packages included basic household items like flour, oil, lentil, rice and dates, said Ahmet Kandemir, Pakistan project coordinator for TDV.
Among the recipients were widows and orphans from Myanmar and Bangladesh, he added.
The aid group, connected to Turkey's state Religious Affairs Directorate, plans to distribute 1,500 food packages to underprivileged families in various cities in the coming week, including Karachi, Islamabad and Multan.
A fast-breaking dinner for 500 people in the country will also be organized.
During the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, the group plans to extend its helping hand to oppressed people in 278 regions across 64 countries.
