Turkey neutralizes 7 terrorists in northern Iraq

Turkish warplanes have neutralized seven PKK terrorists during airstrikes northern Iraq, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.

The airstrikes were launched in Avasin-Basyan region early morning that also destroyed PKK shelters and weapons depots.

On Tuesday, Turkish jets also conducted an airstrike in Metina region, killing two terrorists.

More than 1,200 people, including security personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its decades-long armed campaign in July 2015.
