At least five suspects, including four foreign nationals, were arrested over alleged links to the Daesh terror organization during counter-terror operations in Istanbul, police sources said Friday.
Anti-terror squads conducted simultaneous raids at six locations in the Basaksehir and Sultangazi districts on the European side and Pendik district in the Asian side of the city, said the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restriction on talking to the media.
Several documents and digital equipment were seized during the raids.
The suspects were planning terrorist attacks, the sources added, without revealing their nationalities.
