İstanbul will host an international music festival on Sunday.
The International Ethno Music Festival, organized by the İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality for the first time, will gather artists from around the world.
The festival will run through April 3 in the Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall.
Sixteen musicians from six countries are set to participate in the festival, including Anne-Mari O'Farrell from Ireland, Brendan Power from England, Ross Daly from Greece, and Keyvan Chemirani from France.
Turkish musicians including, Bora Uymaz, Şirin Pancaroğu, Tolga Akşit and Muhlis Berberoğlu, will perform at the festival.
On the opening day, songs in several languages will be sung to draw attention to the sufferings of Rohingya and war-torn countries across the world.
Entry to the festival will be free of cost.
