Historic shoe factory used as film set catches fire in Istanbul
A massive fire broke out in a historic shoe factory in the Beykoz district of Istanbul Friday afternoon, but it is now largely under control, the firebrigade has said.

A frightening fire broke out in an old shoe factory which is located in Istanbul's Beykoz district. Plumes of black and white smoke were seen billowing from the factory.
The old factory had also been used as a film set for famous Turkish series such as the historical drama "Diriliş Ertuğrul".
According to the Beykoz Municipality's statement, the fire was taken under control and no casualties reported.
The was no immediate word on what may have caused the fire.
