Recep Tayyip Erdoğan won the June 24 presidential election with 52.59 percent votes, according to the official results announced by Supreme Election Council.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, Sadi Güven, head of the Supreme Election Council, said Erdoğan got 26,330,823 votes across Turkey.
The June 24 vote marks Turkey's transition to an executive presidential system of government, doing away with the prime minister's post, among other changes.
