Over 6 million Russian tourists to visit Turkey: Erdoğan
Following a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to discuss bilateral issues, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said during a rally in Turkey's Gümüşhane province on Friday that more than 6 million Russian tourists were expected to visit Turkey in 2018.

Turkey's economy will continue to grow in the second quarter of 2018, despite attacks on the nation's currency, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Friday.
Speaking in the Black Sea province of Gümüşhane, he stressed that Turkey will finish out 2018 with record growth.
"We won't let anybody deter us from our targets," he said.
Touching on tensions between Turkey and the U.S., he said that the issues can be solved through calm, negotiation, and diplomacy.
"Without these, everyone will find themselves on a one-street," he warned.
Previously, speaking in the Black Sea province of Bayburt, he called on Turkish citizens to convert their foreign exchange savings into liras.
"This will be my people's answer to those who declare economic war against us," he stressed.
After a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Putin, Turkish president gave the crowd of thousands [gathering to support him in Gümüşhane] a piece of good news, saying in his addressing that more than 6 million Russian tourists would visit Turkey until the end of that year.
