A Turkish public prosecutor's office has submitted a summary of proceedings against a co-chair and three opposition deputies, accusing them of spreading terrorist propaganda, according to judicial sources on Tuesday.
The summary proposing to lift the immunity of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) members was submitted to the Ministry of Justice by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in capital Ankara, said the sources, speaking anonymously due to restrictions on talking to the media.
The deputies are Imam Taşçıer, Alican Onlu and Berdan Öztürk along with co-leader Pervin Buldan, added the source.
The move came following Taşçıer's social media posts on May 24 and his speeches on Sept. 8-9 in southeastern Diyarbakır province, Onlu's nevruz spring festival speech on March 21 in eastern Tunceli province, and Öztürk's nevruz speech on March 21 in eastern Ağrı province.
Buldan is also accused of spreading terror propaganda during her public address at southeastern Siirt province.
