Istanbul police captured eight PKK/KCK terrorists who entered Turkey illegally.
A statement from Istanbul Governor Office said the counter-terrorism unit conducted an operation to capture the terrorists.
"After searching the residence of the terrorists, a large number of digital materials, a kilogram of unidentified powder, and organizational materials were seized," the statement said.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey as well as the U.S. and the EU. In its terror campaign against Turkey for more than three decades, over 40,000 people have been killed, including women and children.
