Turkish security forces on Saturday arrested nine suspects in anti-drug operations across three provinces, according to security sources.
Anti Narcotics Police Units in the northwestern province of Tekirdağ apprehended five suspects on charges of drug trafficking and use, said the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
Separately, security forces apprehended one suspect as part of operations against drug smuggling in Turkey's Aegean province of Manisa.
Also in southwestern Mugla province, forces apprehended three suspects on similar charges.
During the operations, security forces seized different kinds of drugs.
