Opposition MHP head Bahçeli rules out early elections

The head of Turkey's opposition Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) said Thursday that the country does not need to hold snap polls.
"There is no early election, there is no need for [early] election," Devlet Bahçeli said, addressing voters at a rally in southern Osmaniye province.
Bahçeli said that after Sunday's local elections, the presidential and parliamentary elections will be held in June 2023.
"The target is democratic normalization, political stability and economic development," Bahçeli said, stressing on a series of targets for Turkey's centennial in 2023.
"We will never make a concession on our goal of making Turkey a leading country in 2023," Bahçeli said.
