Three Turkish soldiers were martyred and one was injured in a PKK terrorist attack in southeastern Turkey on Saturday, the National Defense Ministry said.
PKK terrorists in northern Iraq launched mortar fire into Turkey's southeastern Hakkari province, the ministry said.
An operation was launched in the area to apprehend the terrorists.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of nearly 40,000 people, including many women and children.
