At least one civilian was killed and seven others were injured in a roadside bomb attack in Turkey's eastern Ağrı province on Saturday, according to the provincial governor's office.
An improvised explosive device (IED) was detonated when a van carrying the construction workers was passing through the area in Doğubayazıt district, leaving eight passengers injured.
The injured passengers were rushed to Dr. Yaşar Eryılmaz State Hospital, where one of the workers succumbed to his wounds.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of some 40,000 people, including women and children.
