The world needs a new approach to global politics and a new economic order to establish peace and stability, Turkey's treasury and finance minister said on Monday.
Turkey is ready to contribute to a structural transformation process that puts international cooperation at its center, Berat Albayrak said in a speech at the TRT World Forum in Istanbul, Turkey's commercial capital.
"It is unlikely that anyone will win in an atmosphere where the world order is threatened by conflict and terrorism," he said.
Highlighting a top issue for Turkey, Albayrak stressed that both individual countries and multilateral alliances must show "without a shadow of doubt" their determination to fight terrorism.
Albayrak emphasized that Turkey's approach to international politics is meant to strengthen mutual trust and stability.
"We act not only for our own interests, but also on the win-win principle in all our relations," he said.
Rebuffing recent threats of sanctions on Turkey, Albayrak said: "With its strong financial architecture, Turkey's financial markets can no longer be swept away by threats or sanctions."
