Security forces in eastern Turkey have seized explosives and supplies stored by the PKK terrorist organization, local officials said.
In a statement on Saturday, authorities in Bitlis province said gendarmerie forces discovered shelters during an operation near a village in the province's Hizan district.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of nearly 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.
