Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,124.67 points on Tuesday, up 0.31% or 3.50 points from the previous close.
At Monday's close, Borsa İstanbul's BIST 100 index was down 0.27% at 1,121.17 points, with a daily trading volume of 19.8 billion Turkish liras ($2.6 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate increased to 7.8170 as of 9:30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), compared to 7.7750 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also rose to 9.1230 from 9.0690, while one British pound traded for 10.0770 Turkish liras, down from 10.0760.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $42.59 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Tuesday.
