Estonia will sign contracts totaling around €200 million ($211 million) for the procurement of armored vehicles from Türkiye for the Estonian Defense Forces (EDF), according to a report published Monday.
More than 200 vehicles will be allocated to the Estonia Defense Forces' 2nd infantry brigade, said the state-run ERR news agency, citing the Estonia Center for Defense Investments. The brigade has reportedly witnessed substantial investment in recent years.
Furthermore, four armored vehicles will be dispatched to the Estonian Rescue Agency for demining purposes, according to the agency.
The Defense Ministry is expected to finalize contracts Wednesday, with Turkish National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler planning to visit Estonia on the occasion.
