Turkish finance minister visiting Gulf countries to woo investments

The Turkish treasury and finance minister, Mehmet Şimşek, began to visit Gulf countries on Monday to introduce investment opportunities in Türkiye.
Announcing his visit on the X platform on Tuesday, Şimşek said he met with Emirati Investment Minister Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi in Abu Dhabi and Qatari Finance Minister Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari in Doha.
He also met with Mohammed Ali Al Khouri, secretary general of the Expo Doha 2023.
"We explained the investment opportunities in our country to more than 200 investors and representatives of the financial world at the 'Türkiye Your Resilient Partner' program organized by our Embassy in Qatar and the Presidential Investment Office," he said.
He will attend the Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, he added.
