Türkiye's Health Minister Fahrettin Koca on Wednesday visited hospitals in Egypt to inquire about those injured in Israel's attacks on Gaza.
Koca, who came to the Egyptian capital Cairo to discuss the coordination of health aid sent to Gaza and the transfer of cancer patients from Gaza to Türkiye, met with Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.
Koca visited the Nasr Cancer Institute Hospital in Cairo with his Egyptian counterpart and met with patients, including children, transferred from Gaza to Cairo.
The injured and affected Palestinians thanked the Turkish minister for the consolation and support.
Türkiye has delivered tons of aid equipment, including medicines, medical devices, and ambulances for the people of Gaza, where the humanitarian situation is dire due to Israeli bombing since the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas.
As the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip entered its 40th day, at least 11,500 Palestinians have been killed, including over 7,900 women and children, and nearly 30,000 others have been injured, according to the latest figures from Palestinian authorities.
