Turkish foreign minister visits famed CERN particle physics lab

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan visited CERN in Geneva on Monday, where he was briefed on its groundbreaking particle physics research and met with Turkish scientists working at the world’s largest particle physics lab.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Monday visited the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), a center for groundbreaking work in particle physics in Geneva, Switzerland.

According to diplomatic sources, Fidan, who is in Geneva to attend an informal meeting on the Cyprus issue, toured CERN and was briefed by officials on its important work.

He also met with Turkish scientists working at the facility, the largest particle physics lab in the world.
